Partnership proves value of collaborative model for IoT network deployment and management

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. & OAKVILLE, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Senet, a leading provider of cloud-based software, global connectivity service platforms and network build-out for the Internet of Things (IoT) and QuaeNet Inc., Canada’s leading Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) Internet of Things network provider, today announced a partnership agreement in which QuaeNet will leverage Senet’s Radio Access Network (RAN) Operator services to meet the growing demand for automated tank monitoring solutions across Canada.

Through this strategic engagement, QuaeNet will become the first Canadian network provider to support Senet’s partnership with WESROC, the industry leader in fuel tank and asset monitoring. In December 2017, Senet announcedit had entered into a definitive agreement to sell its fuel delivery and monitoring solution, EnerTrac, to the WESROC division of Independent Technologies and provide critical network connectivity and build out services to WESROC, on an exclusive basis.
With the large number of propane and fuel oil tanks being used to heat residential and commercial properties, a reliable means of monitoring fuel levels is essential. WESROC tank monitoring solutions optimize delivery efficiency by using affordable monitors to capture customer fuel tank levels throughout the day. Companies use WESROC solutions to save on fuel delivery costs, more accurately forecast fuel usage, reduce the carbon footprint of their delivery fleet and to improve their overall customer experience.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Senet to provide the LoRaWAN connectivity for WESROC in Canada,” said Ossama Bessada CEO of QuaeNet. “This partnership is a great step forward in meeting the growing demand for IoT solutions that drive intelligent business decisions and improve customer service, while creating the opportunity for a number of cross-border IoT business initiatives between our companies.”

Senet’s Radio Access Network (RAN) Operator services provide coordinated go-to-market activities between operators, solution providers and system integrators ready to take immediate advantage of highly scalable and secure connectivity purpose built for the IoT. RAN providers partnering with Senet can create new revenue streams by deploying and maintaining LoRaWAN™ Gateways of any type (indoor or outdoor) on their infrastructure and benefit from their investment by sharing in the revenue generated by all end devices connecting to their Radio Access Network.

“This is an exciting partnership on multiple fronts,” said Bruce Chatterley, CEO at Senet. “Not only does it support one of the fastest growing IoT applications with rapid expansion into Canadian markets, but it is a strong proof point that new deployment, pricing and customer engagement models are changing the way network operators and solution providers can participate in the IoT services economy. We are very excited to be partnering with QuaeNet to help them reach new customers and support new business opportunities as they emerge.”
